Upon his arrival in Moscow, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) in his remarks added that Iran-Russia ties in various dimensions, including economic, defense, security, scientific and commercial, are developing more fundamentally than before.
Shamkhani added that in order to develop the bilateral ties in various fields, it is necessary to continuously review and monitor the implementation of what the officials of the two countries have determined as a road map at the highest levels.
Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) in his remarks emphasized that the problems and troubles of the Afghans are caused by the inefficiency of the occupiers and the events after the occupation, adding that Afghanistan is a regional crisis point, therefore the countries around Afghanistan in this summit will find ways to help solve the problems of this country.
Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani has left the country for Russia to attend a summit that will focus on political, economic and security situation in Afghanistan.
Shamkhani will join top security officials from Central Asian countries, Pakistan, India and China for a meeting planned for Wednesday in the Russian capital Moscow as part of the fifth round of the multilateral talks on Afghanistan.
The previous edition of the conference had been held in Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe in May 2022.
Indian capital of New Delhi had hosted the third round of the initiative in 2021 two years after it was launched in Tehran.
Shamkhani is also scheduled to hold meetings with his counterparts from other countries, including Russia’s top security official.
